Happy New Year 2009

I found this unpublished draft floating around in the Imajica. I apparently wrote it about the time I started getting all those threats and just quit blogging altogether. Since it's already been written and obviously expressed how felt at the time, I'm sharing it with you now. Remember, this was written the first week of January of 2009 ...

The Big Lebowsky

I hope this New Year brings a return to the civil liberties envisioned by the founders of the United States.  In honor of the U.S. Bill of Rights, I give you an uncensored sample of the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution with the fucking short version of the movie, "The Big Lebowsky."

If you have not seen this film, watch it.  The fucking dialoque isn't gratuitous.  Well, maybe it is.  I still like it.  If someone can count the number of times that variations of the word fuck is said in this short two minute video clip, I'll be very impressed.

Why am I inclined to start off 2009 with this?

Because Middle East peace is again fucked?

Well, apparently I was correct about the date that Israel would start another war, but wrong about whom they would attack.  Instead of attacking Iran as was my concern, Israel chose instead to shoot fish in a barrel.  Attacking Gaza is like beating the dog you keep locked in a cramped cage for barking about its inhumane captivity.

I'll have more to say about this topic in the future.  It's your tax dollars killing Palestinians.  Even if you can mentally seperate yourself from that of the actions of your government, billions of other puny human inhabitants around our little pathetic spinning ball of mud called Earth do not seperate you from the actions of your government or even our Middle East provacateur, Israel.

Because the U.S. economy is fucked?

Many smart people think it is going to get worse before it gets better.  When people talk about a so-called "credit crunch" in our economy, it should be noted that the origins of the word credit comes from latin which means loan, but variations also mean trust, belief, or confidence.

If nothing else, Bush/Cheney did one thing well over the last eight years -- the erosion of trust in the American way of life.  Whether it is our own civil liberties being eroded or lying the country into Bush's Iraq War, people trust their own government less now than even during the Nixon era.  And now, everyone trusts the economy of the United States even less than that.

Because I played Wii bowling for an entire week as Bad Grampa?

Busted!  I spent an entire week with good friends in Cape Coral and barely thought about negative things like the broken U.S. economy or retarded foreign policy.

My friends also gave me a copy of the Bugliosi book, "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" and a roll of toilet paper with Bush's face on it.  It's going to feel very satisfying to flush that fucking face from out of my mind in two weeks.
