With all due respect - if you think Bush Chaney was a failed thing - but (I REALLY hope I am wrong here, I really do) Obama's reign will just be new problems. Every administration has its Poo-Poos (sorry about my harsh language) but this one has me on edge. Even if McCain got it - there would still be major catastrophies.

One main concern - Racist Groups. Those extremist Whites and Extremist Black groups who have been praying for an all out race war - Obama makes a super target for both. An extremist white group kills the man - we get riots that make Rodney King riots look like kindergarten play time. Extremist black groups could do it, frame whitey, and consider Obama an acceptible loss for the benefit of their cause.

I know I may sound way out there, but thats a very real possiblity. Extreme White groups are not happy at all.

I dont like Obama or McCain. hell I dont like any of those who pitched their hats in the ring. I should have ran. Or limped. I mean - I could screw this country up with the best of them BUT at least it wouldnt be intentional - LOL

I've posted entries about race here in the past. I really haven't gone too far down the rabbit hole of researching extremist groups, though.

Toward the end of the campaign, the Alaskan governor whipped up her base into a frenzy. She may be too ignorant to realize what she was saying was feeding the racists. The secret service has said problems increased because of her rallies.

There are plenty of extremists in this country. I remember watching the ATF raiding Tim McVey's brother's farm in Michigan on live local TV after the 1995 OKC bombing.

No matter what we do, who we elect, there will always be controversy or issues. It's just a sad reality that we will never gain control over. Unfortunately.

Old prejudices die when institutions that support them, like religion, become a waste of time for thinking people.

Children aren't born racist or xenophobic. Their parents and their environment (school, media, religion) teach children to be that way.

There's little difference between a Muslim child who learns to hate Jews and a Redneck child who learns to hate Blacks. Both are examples of mental child abuse in my mind.
